As a freelance artist in the summer of 2020, I was honored to be selected by the Walnut Creek Downtown Commission and contractor Brian Hirahara to bring my vision to life. My mission was to create a mural that would inspire growth and hope in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. After presenting my proposal to the city arts council and receiving approval, I began work on the mural, drawing inspiration from the local flora and fauna of Mt. Diablo State Park. With a focus on intricate details and a harmonious balance of color, I strived to create a work of art that would captivate and uplift all who saw it. After three weeks of hard work and dedication, my mural was unveiled in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek, where it quickly gained recognition and was featured in local news outlets.
