In this project, I explored as many research methods as possible to create a children's guide to Edinburgh's Georgian House. The Georgian House is a National Trust Property and historically recreates what it was like to live in Georgian Edinburgh. My goal with this project was to make this house engaging and exciting for younger visitors, while paying homage to the house's collections and heritage.
Process
Because this project was based on intensive research, I decided to do my sketching and outlining from life in the Georgian House. Then, I coloured these outlined illustrations with watercolour, scanned them in and added text and digital illustration to bring the images to life.
